04.05.16 5:00pm MDT Update:
And no sooner did we post the below update, than we got accepted!
RAIL RAIDERS INFINITE Kickstarter launches April 6th at 4:00pm EDT (1:00pm PDT)
See you Space Cowboy!
04.05.16 4:30pm MDT Update:
We received no communication from Kickstarter today. Boo! While it’s certainly unfortunate that we’re still in the dark, we remain optimistic that we will have positive news soon. Once we have a resolution, we will provide at least 24 hours notice before launching. That way everyone can be there right from the start!
In the meantime, while you are waiting, make sure to visit our Facebook page and submit your entry for the Cola Cosplay contest. We’ve already had some very fun guesses!
Sorry cowboy squirrel. It’s not you. It totally should have been, though.
04.05.16 9:30am MDT Update:
While we wait to hear back from Kickstarter, let’s play a game! Our favorite pal Cola has a very special cosplay costume for his Rail Raiders Infinite debut. Post a picture in our “Cola Cosplay” Facebook thread of which character you think Cola is going to dress as for the game. Each person who correctly guesses Cola’s cosplay character and also backs Rail Raiders Infinite (when it goes live) will earn 500 Ninja Star Reward Points in the Soda Pop Store. The points may be used towards your shipping for Rail Raiders Infinite, optional purchases or just cool stuff from Ninja Division! The contest deadline will be the launch of the Kickstarter or 24 hours, whichever comes first.
Hints: Rail Raiders Infinite draws from all sorts of sci-fi and western source material including: movies, tv, anime, and manga!
Disclaimers: Only one entry per person. To qualify, you must also back Rail Raiders Infinite. Playtesters are prohibited from entering. (Don’t worry you get your reward points for playtesting!)
04.04.16, 4:30pm MDT, Update:
Unfortunately, we still have not heard back from Kickstarter. Since Kickstarter is based out of Brooklyn, NY it is probably safe to assume we will not hear back from them today. Candy and Cola are very sad. We are (fingers-crossed) hoping to be able to have everything resolved and launch on Wednesday, but that depends on factors outside our control. We will keep you updated with news, and an official launch time, as soon as we hear anything. See you Space Cowboy!
Hello Space Cowboys!
Last week we submitted our brand new Rail Raiders Infinite board game to Kickstarter—then, at 8:00 this morning, it was declined. What!? Well that was unexpected.
It turns out, the customer service and fulfillment software we use doesn’t talk to Kickstarter. When Kickstarter looked at our previous projects, Ninja All-Stars and Super Dungeon Explore: Forgotten King they both show up on Kickstarter’s side as still being open projects, instead of already being on your game tables.
We have spent the last several hours following up with Kickstarter, showing them that both projects have delivered, going through our CS system, and showing that we provide backers with weekly updates on the status of their projects. We even introduced them to our dear Nekodachi who has been helping everyone in the comments section.
For our fellow Kickstarter project creators, we’re sharing our experience so that we can all learn, avoid it happening to you, and make the Kickstarter experience better for everyone. So a couple things we’ve already learned: Once you deliver, make sure to hit the “Rewards Sent” checkbox next to every backer, yes, even if you have 7000+ backers. If you’re using a 3rd party customer service management tool that pulls PMs from Kickstarter, make sure that Kickstarter recognizes when PMs have been answered through your system.
We are confident that we will resolve this issue and be up and ready to launch soon. In the meantime, keep your pistol at your side, and your eyes on our website and facebook for updates!
